Our Project Focus Include:
Women’s Economic Empowerment:
Igbo Women Ambassadors, as a socio-cultural organization, desire to touch lives through diverse ways, especially down to the grassroots. As a huge umbrella where notable women of impeccable characters have come together to demonstrate their subtle strength, integrity, and moral fortitude, we desire to be that VOICE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS….
We desire a world where our fellow women, especially of the Igbo extraction, inculcate in our children cultural awareness, and we’re starting by correcting some wrongs. For example, some of us here, our children don’t understand our sweet Igbo language, talk more about speaking the same, and we think it’s normal. The worst are even our children born and raised here in Nigeria, what a colossal error! It’s nothing to write home about if we decide to talk of those born and raised outside the country. Alas, alu na eme!
It is worthy to note that our focus areas in our hallowed organization are women’s mobilization and enlightenment, capacity building, resource mobilization for numerous empowerment as an avenue to help in lifting our people out of poverty, leadership development and skills, mentorship, networking, and most importantly, to be fully part of decision-making because women are more affected in any issues of life whether by policies or otherwise.
What we aim to achieve includes:
* To equip women with the knowledge needed to benefit our cultural heritage and inspire young women to take active roles in leadership and decision making because there’s no policy that doesn’t or wouldn’t affect a woman in one way or the other.
* To enhance young women’s knowledge in our cultural diversity and leadership development, that’s why we have Igbo Youth Ambassadors.
* To establish a strong network of women leaders across the globe and the development of actionable strategies aimed at strengthening women’s leadership to implement in their communities and businesses.
* To create a robust network of empowered young women who can support each other’s professional journeys and businesses.
* To keep expanding the organization’s reach across the country and diaspora, ensuring inclusivity & diversity, and championing the organization in terms of women mobilization so as to be active and relevant during decision-making.
* To increase awareness and understanding of the challenges and opportunities for young women in leadership roles, empowering them to pursue their ambitions. (For our Youth Ambassadors).
To be able to achieve all these, our pet projects are:
1. Extensive fight against mortality rates associated with child birth, especially down the grassroots through prenatal and postnatal care provisions.
* Payment of some hospital bills for our women that are wailing in the hospitals for discharge but are helpless.
* Grassroot health care provisions and engagements for our widows and provision of access to medical materials for fitness.
2. Empowerment programs in special Skill Acquisitions via Scholarships in IT programs, Leadership Trainings, and Forex Trading. This will help us lessen the burdens on the wonderful men God has blessed us with as husbands and fathers, so we can always do our bits and avoid the constant and early death of our men due to so much struggles to meet of with family demands.
*Sponsorship of orphanages and people with disabilities
