About

WHO ARE WE

Igbo Women Ambassadors (IWA) is a dynamic organization committed to the empowerment, advancement, and representation of Igbo women across the globe. Rooted in cultural pride and a strong sense of community, IWA provides a platform for Igbo women to network, collaborate, and advocate for issues affecting their well-being, both within the Igbo community and in the broader society. The organization focuses on promoting education, leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement, with a special emphasis on mentoring the next generation of women leaders. Through cultural programs, professional development initiatives, and community service, IWA helps bridge traditional values with modern opportunities for growth.

In addition to its developmental goals, Igbo Women Ambassadors actively works to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Igbo people. It engages in cultural diplomacy, organizing events that celebrate Igbo language, art, music, and traditions, while also fostering cross-cultural understanding. The organization frequently partners with local and international institutions to champion causes such as women’s rights, youth empowerment, and health awareness. By uniting Igbo women from diverse backgrounds, IWA not only strengthens communal bonds but also amplifies their collective voice in shaping social, economic, and political discourse globally.

VISION

We envision a peaceful and united Igbo land where women are fully empowered socially, economically, and culturally to lead change, promote harmony, and nurture thriving families. In this future, Igbo women are not only pillars of strength in their homes but also active contributors to regional development, cultural preservation, and community leadership.

Our goal is to see every Igbo woman rise with dignity, confidence, and purpose — financially secure, respected for her voice, and actively shaping a more peaceful and prosperous future for generations to come.

MISSION

Igbo Women Ambassadors is dedicated to advancing peace, unity, and
prosperity throughout Igbo land by harnessing the strength, wisdom, and leadership of women. We work to heal divisions, promote mutual understanding, and build bridges across communities through dialogue, cultural education, and grassroots peace building initiatives.
We also believe in the power of economic empowerment as a
foundation for stronger families and communities. Through vocational training, entrepreneurship support, financial literacy programs, and access to resources, we empower Igbo women to become financially independent. By doing so, they are better equipped to support their partners, raise thriving families, and become catalysts for sustainable development and social harmony.
